Prawn Star respects your privacy and handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. What we collect
Your name, phone number, email address and delivery address when you order; your name, phone, email, party size and notes when you book a table; and the details you give in catering or contact enquiries. We do not store card numbers: online card payments are handled by the payment provider.
2. Why we use it
To cook and hand over your order, keep you updated on it (by email and, if you ask, WhatsApp), hold your table, reply to enquiries, and keep records the law requires. We do not sell your information.
3. Who sees it
Our team, our delivery drivers (name, phone and address only), our website host, and the services that send our emails and WhatsApp messages. Each only gets what it needs.
4. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Booking and enquiry details are deleted after 12 months unless you are a regular who asks us to keep them.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to us using it, by contacting us below. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
